SYMMETRY IN MOTION

MINIMAL LINE

Lumina redefines luxury aluminum sliding doors by offering an ultra-slim 25mm (1”) profile around the perimeter of each gliding panel.
The system seamlessly integrates with its surroundings by concealing the frame behind the finishes on all four sides, offering unobstructed views and pristine aesthetics. Behind the charming appearance, Lumina delivers excellent air, water, and thermal performance, uncomplicated serviceability, robust durability, and effortless operability.

Designed for Style,
Refined Internally for Performance

Lumina is a compelling new offspring of the Brombal Group collaboration, merging Viewscapes vast knowledge of aluminum with Brombal’s engineering and technological wizardry. Meticulously designed, developed, and engineered, the creation of Lumina involved a thoughtful approach rooted in Italian craftsmanship and ingenuity.

The design is intentionally simple, utilizing a minimal number of components intended to streamline installation, ease maintenance requirements, and promote long-lasting use. The system rounds out Viewscapes Minimal Line, which was specifically designed to compliment modern luxury homes focused on large swaths of glass, clean aesthetics, and understated elegance. The Lumina system is PATENT PENDING .

All-around ultra-slim 25mm/1’’ profile, even on very large sizes

Unlike other minimal sliding door systems, the face dimension of Lumina’s profiles does not change even at large sizes or when subject to increased wind loads. Symmetry is guaranteed in every instance, relieving architects of the burden of considering how to achieve matching sightlines when mixing and matching different sizes and configurations.

High-Performance Materials meet Superior Engineering

Lumina was designed utilizing modern, thermally efficient materials like fiberglass and polyamide. Moreover, the system is capable of accommodating both double and triple glazing up to 60mm overall, without any alteration to the 1” (25mm) face profile dimension. By providing performance through low thermal expansion rates, and strength where it’s needed, end-users are assured of superior indoor comfort regardless of the climate.

Mag-Seal

Sliding doors are notoriously leaky where two panels interlock together when in the closed position. To address this, we designed a magnetic “gasket” located in the head and sill that closes the gap between the panel and finish material. When the doors open, the magnets retract, disappearing from view. A common strategy for sealing between the bottom of a door panel and the track is to utilize brush-style weather-stripping. Brush, however, can fray, leaving behind broken and splintered remnants. It can also increase friction between the door panel and the floor, and in some cases, leave marks in the floor following being open and closed numerous times. Mag-Seal afford tremendous advantages, both from the aesthetics perspective, as well as preventing air and water penetration.

Maximum Sizing

While triple pane glass and demanding wind load specifications can result in deeper profiles, Lumina will never deviate from the 1” (25mm) face profile. The current capabilities of the system are individual panel sizes up to 18 m2 ( 190 sq. ft.) and cannot exceed the height-to-width ratio offered by our insulated glass suppliers (10’6” x 24’)
